58m Towing Tank |
The
58 Meter Towing Tank is a cost-effective alternative for
model testing to the larger tanks. With a piston type wave maker
and a high efficiency matrix type beach, the 4.2m wide facility
is ideally suited to small-scale tests where budget is a concern.
The facility has been effectively used in the following: iceberg
risk analysis, risk and reliability studies, cable hydrodynamics, resistance and added resistance in waves, and seakeeping studies.
