NRC-OCRE 200-meter & MU-OERC 58-meter Towing Tanks
With access to both large and small towing tanks, Oceanic’s engineers provide solutions
for a broad range of marine projects. These tanks have been used in mitigating the
effects of vortex induced vibration (VIV) in applications ranging from seismic cables
to deep-water production spars. The 200-meter tank has been used to evaluate hulls for
the demanding America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race. This tank is also ideal for meeting
the design challenge and assessing the maneuvering and seakeeping characteristics of
articulated tugs and barges (ATBs), especially those designed for both open water and
restricted river operations.
